Hi! My name is Matthew Cole and I am a self-taught artist specialising in pen and ink, pencil and charcoal.... with the occasional dash of colour.

I am drawn to art that has a high contrast and depth to it. Producing this strong, dynamic contrast in monochrome work is challenging, especially in the unforgiving medium of pen and ink, but I find the whole process from vision to completion very satisfying.
